Dusk Studio by Woodes Labs
Last updated 20 October 2026
This policy explains what information Dusk Studio collects, why, and what you can do about it. Dusk is run by Woodes Labs, which is responsible for your information. Contact: office@woodeslabs.com.
You can listen without an account. We do not show adverts, we do not sell your information, and we do not use advertising trackers.
We collect only what Dusk needs to work: your account, the music you upload, your likes and playlists, anonymous play and video view counts, and payment records if you buy a plan.
Account: your email address, username and display name. Your password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form by our sign-in provider; we cannot read it.
Music you upload: the audio file, title, genre, lyrics, video links, how it was made (AI-made, AI-assisted or Human-made), the AI tool you used if any, and the time you confirmed the upload rules.
What you do on Dusk when signed in: the songs you like, the artists you follow, and your playlists. Public playlists can be seen by anyone with the link; private ones only by you.
Plays, shares and video views: when a song is played or shared, or its video is watched on Dusk for 30 seconds, we record the song, the date, your country, and an anonymous code. The code is a one-way scramble of your account or of your connection details. We do not store your IP address in these records, and the code cannot be turned back into it.
Payments: the plan, amount, currency, date, status and Flutterwave's reference number. We never receive or store your card or bank details.
Reports: if you report a track, the details you write, your name if you give it, and your email address so we can follow up.
App use: a random code created on your device, your device type (Android, iPhone or computer) and the date, used only to count how many people install and use the app.
Notifications: if you turn on notifications, we store the notification address your browser or phone gives us for this device, so we can send them. Turning notifications off deletes it.
If you comment on a song, your comment, your name and the time are public. If you add a tip link or other links to your artist page, they are public too.
Dusk keeps some things in your browser, not on our servers: your colour theme, Data saver setting, volume, the current queue and song position, your recently played list, and whether you closed the install banner. Clearing your browser data removes them.
The only cookie Dusk sets is the one that keeps you signed in.
To run your account and keep you signed in; to store and stream music; to show artists how their music is doing; to stop fake plays, spam and copyright abuse; to take payments and keep the records the law requires; and to answer you when you contact us.
We rely on: carrying out our agreement with you; our legitimate interest in running a safe service; your consent where we ask for it; and legal duties such as keeping payment records.
We use a small number of companies to run Dusk. They process information for us and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (website hosting and file storage; Cloudflare also tells us which country a visitor is in), GitHub (uploaded audio is processed on GitHub's servers) and Flutterwave (payments).
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google sees your device's connection when a page loads. Music videos are played through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which only loads when you press play; YouTube's own policy applies from then on.
These companies may store information outside Nigeria. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We will share it if the law requires us to.
Account information: until you ask us to delete your account. Music: until you delete it; the stored file is removed when you do. Play, share and video view records: kept in anonymous form so artists' statistics stay accurate. Payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Reports: for as long as needed to deal with the complaint and any dispute.
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it in a particular way, and you can withdraw consent you have given. Email office@woodeslabs.com from the address on your account. We will reply within 30 days. How to delete your account is explained at playdusk.workers.dev/delete-account.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Dusk is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
We protect information with encrypted connections, private file storage, and access rules that limit who can read what. No online service can promise perfect security; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
