Thank You, Jesus

Lyrics

I woke up asking, Lord, I saw the rising sun

And the first thought on my mind was what still had to be done

We rush to bring You lists, asking for the next great thing

We take the miracle You gave and run away to sing

I'm caught up in the blessing, forgetting Your great face

I'm so ashamed to stand here, saved only by Your grace

(Mercy) Your mercy runs so deep, it covers every scar

(Grace) Your faithfulness has brought me right exactly where we are

(Love) Your love is not deserved, it's bigger than the sky

And all I have is this whole heart to lift my praises high

Thank You, Jesus! (Hallelujah)

You are the God of faithfulness, the source of light I see

Thank You, Jesus! (My life)

You kept my soul when sickness tried to break the hold on me

Thank You, Jesus! (Saved me)

You are the God of boundless love, the sacrifice You gave

Thank You, Jesus! (Kept me)

I am the one who came back just to kneel and say Your grace

I remember every fever, the shadow over my home

I remember every single loss, the valley where I roamed

I survived the accident, the crash I should have feared

Your quiet shield surrounded me, the instant You appeared

You pulled me from the deepest shame, You made the darkness flee

Your sacrifice still echoes, the kind of love I feel

Lord, You healed the ten, You sent them on their way

And nine went off rejoicing, forgetting to obey

But one came back, he fell down low, face pressed upon the dust

The single thankful heart is where I put my utter trust

Thank You, Jesus! (Always)

We will not forget Your mercies, we will not forget Your love

Thank You, Jesus! (Forever)

We thank You for the life You gave, the sacrifice You made

Thank You, Jesus! (Amen)
