Jesus is Born

Lyrics

Long ago, in the silence of night,

A star shone bright, a new holy light.

No fancy warm palace, no crown made of gold,

Just a simple, small stable, a story untold.

We stop all the rushing, the shopping, the sound,

To remember the King that the shepherds found.

The hope of the world was sleeping right there,

A wonderful gift, beyond all compare.

Jesus, You are the reason we sing!

The true joy and peace that this Christmas will bring.

We bow down and thank You, our Savior and Friend,

Your love is the light that will never end!

The manger was humble, the parents were mild,

We sing Hallelujah for the miraculous child.

Every bell that is ringing, every candle we see,

Points back to Your gift, given freely to me.

The heavens proclaimed Your great power and might,

But You came as a servant, to bring us the light.

You left the high glory, You chose to descend,

A promise fulfilled, a true faith without end.

The darkness must flee when Your Presence is near,

You banished the sorrow, You conquered all fear.

We lift up Your name, Lord, we follow Your way!

You live in our hearts every single day.

We worship You, Jesus, born to redeem!

You are the best story, the best Christmas dream!

There is no one beside You, no power that compares,

(Hallelujah!)

Your mercy surrounds us, Your kindness still cares.

We praise Your great wisdom, we honor Your grace,

(We worship You!)

And find perfect peace as we gaze on Your face!

Jesus, You are the reason we sing!

The true joy and peace that this Christmas will bring.

We bow down and thank You, our Savior and Friend,

Your love is the light that will never end!

Your love is the light that will never end!

Silent night, holy night... The King is here.

King is here... Jesus, King is here.
