Dear Santa

Lyrics

I sat by the fire, my wish written clear

"Dear Santa, please send me a friend this year."

But the wind blew it back, all crumpled and gray

I thought my best hope had just fluttered away

I looked at the window, felt the cold on my hand

I was looking too far for my gain

No big magic was needed, no sleigh in the sky

The gift that I wanted was here all along!

The magic of Christmas is super strong!

The best joy you get doesn't fit in a box

It’s the hand that you hold, the door that unlocks!

Just the sound of a knock and a happy, big sigh

The bells started ringing, the snow started to fall

We flew down the staircase, prepared for the call

And right on the porch, shining bright as a light

Stood a kind, friendly face that wasn't too far!

It's a Christmas miracle, shining so bright!

The world stopped spinning, the moment we smiled

Two happy wishes, perfectly piled

The greatest surprise was standing right here

Making magic happen all through the year!

The gift that I wanted was here all along!

The magic of Christmas is super strong!

The best joy you get doesn't fit in a box

It’s the hand that you hold, the door that unlocks!

Ho ho ho! Oh, thank you, Dear Santa, for showing the way!

Sleigh bells ring
