Chosen One

Lyrics

But ye are a chosen generation

A royal priesthood

An holy nation

A peculiar people

That ye should shew forth the praises of Him

Who hath called you out of darkness

Into His marvellous light

I don’t have to wonder who I am

I’m a royal priest, a follower of the Lamb

A holy nation, a people set apart

With a brand new song written on my heart

Called from the shadows of a lonely night

Into the glory of His marvelous light

I’m not a stranger (I AM A CHILD)

I’m not an orphan (I’M RECONCILED)

I’m not a servant (I AM AN HEIR)

I’m in the Father’s (LOVING CARE)

I am a chosen one

Bought by the Blood of the Son

Set apart for a purpose divine

In Your marvelous light, I will shine

I am peculiar, I am Your own

Seated with You on a heavenly throne

I am a chosen one

Before the world had a floor or a frame

You whispered my story and You spoke my name

Before the foundations were laid in the deep

I was a promise that You meant to keep

Chosen in Him before time began

Held in the palm of a perfect plan

The world looks for power, the world looks for gold

But You look for stories that are yet to be told

You take the foolish to silence the wise

You see the treasure through a Father’s eyes

You chose the weak things to show You are strong

You’re the place where the "unlikely" belong

Fear has no place, for You’ve called me by name

I’ve been redeemed from the guilt and the shame

A mark on my spirit that says "Thou art Mine"

Branch of the Father, grafted into the Vine

Chosen for fruit that will always remain

Walking in victory, breaking the chain

I’m a chosen generation (CHOSEN)

I’m a royal priesthood (CHOSEN)

I’m a holy nation (CHOSEN)

Peculiar people (CHOSEN)

Called out of darkness (OUT OF THE DARK)

Into the light (INTO THE LIGHT)

You chose me! (YOU CHOSE ME)

I’m Yours! (I’M YOURS)

You chose me! (YOU CHOSE ME)

Chosen!
